Joe McLaughlin for Congress

My name is Joe McLaughlin and I would like to be your Representative in Congress from the 16th District of New York.

I know we often say every Election is the most important Election at that point in time, but, I think we can all agree this Election is the most important Election in our lifetime when you consider all that is at stake: our civil, economic and religious freedoms and liberties. These liberties and freedoms once guaranteed by our government are now under attack by it.There has been a tectonic shift in the relationship between the individual and their Government over the last 20 years that must be reversed if we are to survive as Constitutional Republic.

To begin this reversal robust private sector job creation has to be the top priority of the 113th Congress as it is the key to our long term economic prosperity and national security.

I am asking you to vote for me, Joe McLaughlin, and join me in bringing common sense leadership to our government. Instead of more laws; regulations and taxes which are the only plans in the career politicians’ playbook. I believe to stir the economy and get us back on track the next congress should concentrate on the 4 R’s.Reduce, Repeal, Reform and Re-establish (4R’s)

Reduce the size of government and its costs by eliminating agencies and departments that are in violation of the constitution, are redundant, no longer serve a purpose or that simply cost too much. Congressmen must be held accountable to the taxpayer for all costs of government as well as the constituionality of all laws, regulations and taxes.

Repeal job killing taxes, legislation and regulations where needed. Obamacare and Dodd-Frank must be repealed on the very first day of the 113th Congress.

Reform our tax code; our secondary education system; our foreign aid funding, our budget process and fiscal policy.

Re-establish Congressional Accountability. Congress must be held directly accountable to the taxpayer for all costs of government as well as the constitutionality of all laws, regulations and taxes.Career Politicians like Eliot Engel have looted Medicare and Social Security to the tune of $67 Trillion dollars ($215,000 per U.S. Citizen). He can not be trusted to fix this problem he created. I pledge to work to strengthen these programs to fulfill the promises made to our current and future retirees and free our children and grandchildren from the burden of this debt immorally heaped on them by Congressmen Eliot Engel and his gang of political elites.

I am asking you to vote for me, Joe McLaughlin,because I believe Good Government is based upon Accountability, Morality and Knowledge and I believe in Ronald Reagan’s call to arms against the out of control growth and reach of the Federal Government over a generation ago, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

I am asking you to vote for me, Joe McLaughlin, because I believe in the family and the family values, like all my neighbours from NY’s 16th District. Although this job is not like a golden wedding gift dreamed by my wife, she supports me on 100%.

My opponent and his fellow career politicians have spent more than a generation in Congress (25 years) working on the fringes of our liberties to change our form of Government from a Constitutional Republic with the power in the hands of the citizens to a Socialist Bureaucracy with the power centralized in Washington D.C. Long term incumbency is a disease that inflicts serious damage on individual liberty and can only be cured by an informed and active citizenry that instills fresh ideas and new blood into their government by electing new citizens to represent them every few years.

The Usurpation of our Constitutional Rights and the relegation of our children and grandchildren to serfdom under Eliot Engel must end with this election.

This election we must join together, Republicans; Conservatives; Independents and Conservative Democrats alike, to defeat Socialist Representatives like Rep. Eliot Engel. I believe the future Abraham Lincoln feared when he said, “I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and cause me to tremble for safety of my country; corporations have been enthroned, an era of corruption in High Places will follow, and the Money Power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the People, until the wealth is aggregated in a few hands, and the Republic destroyed.” is upon us. We need to break free from this Orwellian Nightmare created by career politicians like Eliot Engel and Nancy Pelosi where manipulated class warfare has put Every American Citizen outside the beltway into a circular firing squad.

Westchester and Bronx Counties have been among the hardest hit Counties in New York in terms of job losses and this Election offers voters two distinct choices.

Voters can choose to stay the course with my opponent who has spent his entire adult life in political office and believes more government and less liberty is the solution to every problem and has us on the verge of national bankruptcy or

voters can come together behind me, Joe McLaughlin a businessman, and citizen who has good ideas and has more in common with 99% of the people in the 16th District than with the 1% of the district that consists of the career politicians and bureaucrats like Eliot Engel.

I’ve never felt more hopeful about what we can accomplish. We can show the rest of the country that no matter how long an incumbent has been able to circumvent the will of the people; this year no elected official that attacks the freedoms of ALL Americans will win re-election
